In July 2009, the ground floor and basement of the king's lieutenant's house in Navarrenx played host to many works by artist Raymond de Longueuil. The Carré d'art St Germain exhibiton displayed remarkable paintings representing 60-62 years of farming (harvesting, haymaking, plowing) in the Navarrenx region as well as portraits of farmers.

Raymond's son Baron Michael Grant de Longueuil attended the opening along with many other artists and special guests including businessman Aldo Vasti, Jaque Borsarelli and Jean-Bernard Baucou.

During his lifetime, Raymond exhibited hundreds of paintings at Carré d'art St Germain in the centre of Navarrenx, France.

Exhibition at Carré d'art

St Germain

Classical recital with religious works

This was a great moment of the musical season of Navarrenx. A sensational viola, cello, violin and flute quartet offered an unforgettable concert, with a good part of the evening devoted to Mozart.

Paintings (oil on paper) by Raymond de Longueuil delighted the audience, creating the perfect setting for the quartet's emotional performance. The yellow masterpiece depicts the Ascension into Heaven, the other, the Trinity lovingly blended with the Father, Son, and Dove (Holy Spirit).
